Josh Johnson - Managing Partner

Prior to founding North Road Partners, Josh was a Managing Director at Berkshire Partners, which he joined in 2008. He served as a leader of the firm’s Digital Infrastructure and Communications practice, completing successful investments and serving as a board director across digital infrastructure, technology services, and software industries. Through these experiences, Josh partnered actively with leadership teams as the companies expanded significantly, and he gained an appreciation for attractive market dynamics, capital allocation, and exceptional management.

Prior to Berkshire, Josh worked at Bain & Co., in Boston and London, serving clients in both private equity and corporate strategy practices. Josh received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Engineering from Princeton University.

Originally from Bangor, Maine, Josh lives with his wife and three children outside of Boston.
